Barbeque, Bar-B-Q, BBQ
Doesn't matter how you spell it, we all know it how to say it. Whether you like your BBQ sauce tomato-based, vinegar-based, mustard-based, or based on something else, or if you're into dry rub BBQ, without a doubt BBQ is an "American thing," and especially a "Southern thing." In Dixie, BBQ is akin to a religion. It's regional, has a lot of variations, everyone is devoted to their particular "denomination" of BBQ, and to discuss it in public could start a fight. But Southerners all agree they love BBQ. Below are listed several sites for information about BBQ, recipes, BBQ festivals and a few specific sauces and locations we think are top of the line and worth trying. (Note: We've provided links for those sauces and places we believe are worthy and we could find links for. If you have any suggestions, please feel free to send them to us here.)
