The South Can Save Civilization

Can we admit it now? Thank you.

The South was right!

Listen to the liberals gnashing their teeth about the Ashcroft nomination.

Listen to the wailing. "He’s too powerful! He may abuse his powers! Weep. Weep. Weep."

Of course he is too powerful, you hypocritical morons. That has always been our very point.

Every four years we play for all the marbles. Every four years we elect a new group of people to jump in the giant bulldozer called the federal government and hope that it doesn’t start leveling everything we cherish.
It doesn’t have to be this way.

You greedy liberals have gotten used to getting everything your way. But now you may be starting to realize: the centralized monster that the North created has the potential for unthinkable abuse. Get it now?

There really is only one just way to govern. People must have meaningful control at the local level. If they make mistakes, at least they will be small- scaled mistakes. You guys are control freaks and are gambling that you can run everything. What if you can’t? Then what are you going to do?

What if the economy plummets and some super personality comes along and convinces a slim majority to use the federal government to reconstruct you? Do you really like to gamble? I hope so because that’s what you are doing!

So here’s the deal, Mr. Liberal. Let’s agree that there are many different viewpoints and ways of life in this political state called the USA. We really aren’t one people in the traditional sense. Agreed? Good.

It basically becomes a race at this point, then, doesn’t it? Our current system promotes extremism doesn’t it? No room for moderation because the cost of losing is too great. The race is onto dominate others before they dominate you.

Every person is forced to draw his sword in the cultural war unless we return to a system that promotes moderation.

We are culturally traditional in the South, but we are not interested in forcing our way of life on others. We may seem backwards to you, but ultimately we hold the key to saving civilization. Join us, Mr. Liberal, or this cultural war is going to get real ugly. If you keep demanding unconditional surrender, then the South will be forced to find cultural allies and join this unfortunate game of winner take all; and there will be no holds barred. You choose: the extremism of total control or the moderation of local control.

And one more thing - quit f...king with our flag!
